Every bathroom starts with the room stripped back to a sound surface, checked for damp and levelled where it needs it. Wet areas around the shower and bath are tanked before any tile goes on, because a bathroom is only as good as what's underneath it. From there I work out the layout so cuts fall in sensible places rather than against a wall you'll look at every day.
I tile floors, walls, shower enclosures and any niches or shelving in one visit where possible, so there's less disruption to the rest of the house. Grouting and silicone are finished last, once everything has had time to set properly, and the room is left clean and ready to use.

Common questions about bathroom & wet room tiling
How long will my bathroom take?
Most bathrooms are a few days depending on size, tile and how much preparation the walls and floor need. I'd rather give you a realistic timescale than an optimistic one.
Do you tank the whole room?
Wet areas around the shower and bath are tanked as standard. Whether it goes further depends on the room, and I'll tell you what I think it needs.
Can you tile over existing tiles?
Sometimes, if the existing tiles are sound, flat and well bonded. Often it is better to take them off, and I'll be honest about which one applies.
How much tile should I order?
Use the calculator on the quote form for the area, then add about 10% for cuts. More for herringbone or diagonal layouts.
